Lotus Eating
To let you into my heart?
Look what you’ve done
To my zen-like, spotless,
Primly packaged life.
I recline, sleep-deprived,
On a day bed, dressed in beads,
Hair and heart undone.
Hungry for chocolate fondue,
In the middle of the afternoon.
