Love

At low tide
I found love
By my side
Cleansed-
By the blue dawn
Perceptive and indulgent

At high tide
I found love
Tortured by pride
In broken sea shells
Brittle and suspicious

At dawn
I found love
On my green lawn
Lying naked
Vulnerable and cruel

At night
I found love
Hidden from sight
In my heart
Like a metaphor of emotion
From Nature’s breast

Beautiful!
An observation if I may - the whole poem flows beautifully, but the last 2 lines jar for some reason...I don't know if it's the choice of words or the fact that it's 6 line stanza (as compared to the rest that are of 5 lines) that breaks the rhythm...all said and done, a very moving piece!

Thank you Gitanjali. Hmm...interesting observation that...someone else had said almost the same thing before. I guess those final two lines need some blue pencilling :)
