This poem left me a bit sad. Why? Some personal feelings are deeply stirred. The words, the idea, the imagination and imagery and, of all the things, the 'Blue line of death'. This sounds so familiar and so disturbing.Anyway, leave all that. It's a very touching poem, even where no personal chord is touched.
Deep and striking. The first 3 lines pull at you.
