River of Fire

I am a river
Flowing endlessly into the sea
Of countless rivers;
I divide and give
A part to some
Another part to others,
Not fully myself anywhere
Searching for a place
To rest.

I am a river
Of fire
Raging into the sea
Burning countless rivers;
The steam rises
And condenses in the air,
I trap a tear
And clamp it shut
I throw pearls into the sea
And lose them
Forever.

Thirsty in the summer heat,

Drying up the sea,
I am a river
Of fire
Flowing endlessly.
