Mercurial appeal,
Quicksilver charms,
Making them kneel;
Inevitably disarmed.
Speeding through life,
A mother, a wife!
Untouched, unfazed,
Unmarred, unscathed.
No signs of adhesion,
No lasting impressions,
All touches tangential,
No impact substantial.
Born detached,
Ostensibly attached,
Volatile, intemperate,
Unbonded, separate!
