Ruled by Mercury (Hg)

Mercurial appeal,
Quicksilver charms,
Making them kneel;
Inevitably disarmed.

Speeding through life,
A mother, a wife!
Untouched, unfazed,
Unmarred, unscathed.

No signs of adhesion,
No lasting impressions,
All touches tangential,
No impact substantial.

Born detached,
Ostensibly attached,
Volatile, intemperate,
Unbonded, separate!

An immaculate existence, Pragya!
The concept is both intriguing and yet alluring... very well put, as usual.Apparently you are employing a well-honed economy of words these days.

cheers!

Good poem. Looks like you believe in Stoicism.

Thanks Max! Your kind words are always appreciated.

Anonymous - right on target with the Stoicism.

Scribe - Thanks and yes, on most days this is the predominant feeling for me! Great to find a kindred spirit!
